Last updated 5 October 2026
Apps on Sprout are built and run by the people who use Sprout. If you find one that is harmful, deceptive or against our rules, please tell us so we can look into it.
How to report an app
Email support@sprout.is and include:
- the address of the app, for example https://example.sprout.is
- what is wrong, in a few words
- when you saw it, with your time zone if you know it
- screenshots, if you can take them safely
Please don't send us passwords or other secrets. If an app shows child sexual abuse material, don't take screenshots, download it or share it: just send us the address. You can also report it to the Internet Watch Foundation.
What to report
- phishing, or fake sign-in pages that ask for passwords or bank details
- scams and fraud
- malware, or apps that try to make you download harmful software
- harassment, threats or bullying
- illegal content, including any content that sexually exploits children
- impersonation of a person, a business or Sprout
- apps that collect personal information in a deceptive way
What happens next
We review every report. If an app breaks our terms, we may take it offline or suspend the account behind it. We may also share information with the police or other authorities when the law requires it or someone's safety is at risk.
To protect everyone's privacy, we may not be able to tell you what we did.
Please don't investigate it yourself
Don't try to test, hack or attack an app you're worried about, and don't enter real details into it. Tell us what you saw and we'll take it from there.
What we can't help with
Each app on Sprout is run by the person who built it. Apart from abuse, we can't help with problems inside someone else's app, such as missing information, how the app works or a disagreement with the people who run it. Please contact the app's owner about those.
